Buttressed by the lovely assistance of Jorge Jiménez’s detailed Gotham, the density in each issue gives you your money’s worth and extra, Matt Fraction shoots his take on Batman in the modern age, something that might taste sour to diehards, but open the door to newbies. Minotaur undoubtedly is a frightening design—perhaps only in head, though; certainly an introduction bathed with chutzpah yet his body too closely resembles Joker’s attire, albeit not purple. It’s DC’s bread ‘n’ butter, what else do you need? (Watch how many carbs you eat.)
