The Pugilist is a team Fantomen story first published in 1966, until now overlooked for publication in English. It contains a story from the Phantom Chronicles which sheds light on the history of one of the highly revered and prominent characters of the Phantom's universe, tracing the struggles and dangers faced by a young man whose only apparent gift is the ability to fight extremely well. He is fresh off the boat from Ireland and soon finds himself being manipulated by those keen to take advantage of his skill set.
