Unlike any of the other Marvel Handbooks, the Master Edition was published with tear-out sheets which could then be placed in binders which were sold separately. The idea behind it was that when a character was ever updated, they could just publish a new sheet for that character without having to do all the others. Marvel never returned to this format.
